Galatia began her ballet training at the age of 3, at Dance Works School of Ballet in Nicosia. She joined the Lefkosia Youth Ballet and Ballet Cyprus In Limassol at age 11 where she remained until the age of 16.
At age 16 she secured a scholarship at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance where she gained her BA (Hons) in Professional Dance. During her time at Rambert, she was fortunate to dance Raymonda and Giselle ballets at the Linbury Stage at the Roral Opera House as well as contemporary creations from Ross Mckim.
Upon graduation in 2005, she joined the Moving Visions Dance Company in London and then the Balletto Di Toscana in Florence, Italy in 2006.
Simultaneously she joined Dance Cyprus as a guest dancer in 4 productions – Sirens, White Magic, Rhapsody and Triptych – from 2006 to 2009.
Upon returning to London, she joined the Pineapple Dance Group for the hit TV show in the UK. She spent time training with esteemed choreographers from Pineapple Studios in London and training in different styles, including commercial and LA Funk. This new skill got her signed with 3 agents as a freelance performer and the next years she kept busy dancing in commercials, music videos and more.
In 2011, she joined the Watkins Dance Company, in collaboration with Tavaziva Dance Company before moving back to Cyprus.
Back home, she quickly returned back to her roots – At Dance Works School of Ballet this time as a ballet and contemporary teacher and assistant to Mrs Clare Merchant Andreou – esteemed colleague, and RAD Ballet Examiner. For 8 years, Galatia worked beside Clare, learning and evolving whilst teaching hundreds of Children.
Her teaching involved – all levels of RAD classes from Primary up to Solo Seal, Contemporary, Neoclassical and Modern/ Commercial as well as choreographing for competitions, and coaching for auditions.
Simultaneously, she taught baby ballet at Kinderland kindergarden in Nicosia for 8 years, giving her valuable insight and knowledge into very small children.
In 2015, she choreographed her first full Neoclassical production – ‘’From Dawn to Dusk’’ for Lefkosia Youth Ballet and in 2018, ‘’Between Lines’’ for Dance House Lefkosia.
In 2019 She was a guest teacher for Lambros Lambrou in Limassol where she had the pleasure to teach some of the talented young stars of tomorrow.
In 2021, Galatia moved on to Ballere School of Dance until 2024 where she continued teaching the same subjects. . In 2024 after a very successful year, both teaching and choreographing ( 12 prizes in Pancyprian Ballet Competition, Greece Nationals and Dance Link Hellenic) she founded her first dance school, Dance Flow Studios in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Along with teaching and choreographing, Galatia joined the Board of Directors of Lefkosia Youth Ballet in 2014, taking on the role of President in 2021. She feels especially proud for the work of LYB, and all its contributions to the dance scene of Cyprus and is honored to be a part of it. She is currently acting as Vice-President since 2024.
Eleni started dancing at the age of 5 and went on to study at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester, where she obtained the Certificate in Musical Theater Dance and the National Diploma in Dance from Trinity College, with a full scholarship to last year of studies. She played roles from various musicals such as Chicago, Lion King, Cabaret. During her studies she passed the Advanced 2 examination of the Royal Academy of Dance A.R.A.D as well as the ISTD Intermediate Ballet and Modern Theater with distinction. She also completed studies as a classical dance teacher at the Royal Academy of Dance.
In Cyprus, she taught and choreographed ballet, modern, jazz, and Hip Hop at Alexia's School of Dance, Dance Works, Vattis Art of Dance, La Ronda, at Little Stars Kindergarten, and others. She was also the owner of 'Dancers Footprints' at the Eurogym gym. She danced with the Creativity Dance Studio group for two years, dancing a variety of styles and representing them at the Cyprus Salsa Congress.
In recent years, she also attended various dance workshops with scholarships in Los Angeles and New York where she took intensive lessons. She then lived for 6 months in Los Angeles and danced with Sabrina Johnston in various shows in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. In 2013, she accepted a one-year contract to teach in Canada. During the year she was honored with awards for her choreographies and teaching.
Upon her return to Cyprus, she obtained her Zumba Instructor degree and at the same time worked at the Fkinisi school. From 2016, she became the owner of the aforementioned school.
Fkinisi Dance & Wellness Studio was renamed Center Stage Dance School in 2017 under the direction of Eleni Ioannou (A.R.A.D, RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, National Diploma in Professional Dance leading to BA Trinity College, Certificate in Theater Dance, Northern Ballet School), Be Discovered scholarships in Los Angeles and New York, scholarship to Northern Ballet School England, Choreography Awards in Canada.
Unfortunately, due to personal problems, she closed the school in 2018 with great regret. She came back stronger after some time and continued cooperation with other dance schools.
It is with great anticipation, she restarts a wonderful collaboration at the newly established dance school "Dance Flow" with Galatea Savva, with whom they knew each other since they were children and were in the same ballet class.
